Pearson Park, Hull February 2012.
Geese, ducks, seagulls, pigeons, gracing the ponds.
Streets seems so desolate devoid of people… Cities feel incomplete when the folks who populate their streets are no longer there, crouching at home before the TV sets or computer screens, following the rapid take over of the world by the minuscule invaders from an irate planet…
Stockpiles of nuclear weapons laid completely useless in their silos or submarines, stock shares wringing their hands in vain to avoid their disappearance in the what will be long forgotten cracks of memories. A chapter of human history that no one will have any desire to know. Like those photographs from Stalin times, what happened in early 2020 will have been erased a long time ago.
A testimony of humanity’s follies, who will have any desire to remember it? Perhaps within a museum of horrors, a note of that time when greed nearly destroyed Earth.
